Anaesthesia Technician required for a well established Hospital Group in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Anaesthesia Technician will assist with the care and organisation of all standard Anaesthesia equipment, positioning devices, supplies and limited aspects of patient care. The Anaesthesia Technician will perform technical and supportive care tasks to assist the Anaesthesiologists in providing anesthesia care services.
Responsible for routine insertion of all intravenous infusions in the operating room, liaison with the Anaesthesiologist
Responsible for the initial application of all non-invasive Anaesthesia related patient monitoring.
Responsible for routine daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning of all Anaesthesia related equipment, Anaesthesia related storage and work areas, to include Operating suits, labor, and delivery, burn unit, lithotripsy MRI, Angio, Endoscopy, Liver. Kidney Transplantation and any other designated Anaesthesia areas.
Case by case preparation for all Anaesthetic procedures.
Daily restocking of Anaesthesia consumables in all designated areas.
Provide transportation assistance to patients to and from all Anaesthesia related areas.
Distribute all Anaesthesia consumables and pharmaceutical items.
Order blood and blood products under the direct supervision of Anaesthesiologists.
Teach and train students and graduates.
Cover calls for liver/kidney, night shift, emergency shift weekends and Business Centre as per monthly call schedule.
Complete 30 hours of continuous Medical Education (CME) per year.
Associate Degree in Anaesthesia Technology programme or related or equivalent qualification e.g. nursing with anaesthesia experience PLUS 6 months Internship from an accredited Institution.
Valid Basic Life Support Certification.
Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Saudi Council registration.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
Arabic language skills are beneficial.
