Job Description for the role of Aquaculture Development Manager

• Company manager who delivers the proposed development plan on schedule and in budget
• Management of key components identified in phased program leading to next step decisions
• Key linkage between senior management and general managers for operational development
• Ensures company development optimizes use of resources
• Analysis of company operations to ensure project targets are met

Job Requirements for the role of Aquaculture Development Manager

• University degree in associated fisheries/aquaculture related studies
• Experience of developing “green field” projects with high level of industry/sector experience
• Minimum of 10 years aquaculture project management experience
• Excellent knowledge of the international aquaculture sector, with good links within the industry in particular with operations in marine fin fish and shrimp sectors
• Good technical understanding of aquaculture practices including scientific base knowledge; relating practical operational solutions to maximise production efficiencies
• Good knowledge of delivery of quality to markets as related to the handling and processing of fish and shrimp products ensuring product demand in major markets
• Fluent English required
• Good organizational skills, analytical approach, including ability to deliver technical and financial forecast, strong reporting capability;
• Natural leadership
• Strong previous track record in developing strategic ideas into viable project deliverables
• Strong decision making based on relevant data which may be scientifically based
• Results oriented, good capacity to learn and to develop himself and others
