Chase Resourcing are currently recruiting for an Associate Director Academic Affairs for our client in the UAE
The Associate Director Academic Affairs oversees academic operations of the College of Health Sciences, within the governance framework. Work side by side with the Heads of other programs to achieve the vision, mission and objectives.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Comply with EHS Policies, Programs and Procedures as per EHSMS-General Framework.
Supervises all matters relating to curriculum and instruction in the College.
Oversees development and implementation of academic strategic planning, establish priorities and plans for program development, FCHS faculty recruitment and development.
Provides academic input to college enrolment management efforts.
Coordinate periodic academic program review and work with Heads of the Programs in the review.
Responsible for sustaining an environment of academic and professional excellence for students and faculty and a healthy workplace culture and collaborative working environment with educational team members.
Assures the quality of all programs offered within the college, and that of the FCHS philosophy: quality services to end users; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees, teaching and learning strategies, and environment are conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion.
Curriculum Development:
Supports all academic programs to provide quality education.
Chairs the Curriculum Committee for the development/revision and/or implementation of all curricula in the college.
Collaborates with the Heads of the Academic Programs/Departments to organize regular evaluations of curricula.
Student Persistence and Completion:
Guides the relevant Students Committee for overall improvement of persistence.
Coordinates with Manager Student Services and Registrar and network with all outside industry professionals to discuss new developments and trends and to obtain feedback on curriculum effects.
Compliance with System Rules, UAE Regulations, and Accrediting Criteria
Ensures the appropriate accrediting criteria and requirements are maintained.
Complies with UAE Academic Accreditation CAA System Rules and Policies as they apply to ADEK, HAAD Regulations and SEHA.
Coordinates with the Manager of Student Services regarding setting and maintaining the admission standards and processes.
Leadership and vision:
Develops and maintain a vision for educational growth of the college.
Develops the Education Strategic Plan decided by the Senior Academic Management of FCHS for approval by the Director, FCHS.
Participates as a member of the College Executive Committee.
Community Responsibilities:
Develops educational articulation relationships with hospitals and community-based clinical placement providers and other institutions as required.
Elevates the visibility and image of the FCHS in the community.
Enhances internship opportunities within the community by maintaining a quality educational presence.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
Manages the scheduling process for maximizing efficiencies while maintain educational outcomes.
The Associate Director performs all other duties assigned by the Director of FCHS.
Qualification(s)
Ph.D. Level in a Health Sciences related field at a Senior Academic Level
Experience Required
10 year experience in Education with academic management experience
Experience working internationally in a similar capacity
Experience in working with people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds
Knowledge in National and International Accreditation and Education systems

English: Fluency oral and written
