• Certificates in Culinary Arts • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent • Basic Courses in Cooking Techniques and Food Preparation
• Professional Experience Required • Previous working experience working in a kitchen providing meals for a large numbers. • Five (3) years’ experience as a cook in establishment catering different clienteles
• Knowledge of the Food Hygiene Regulations and Responsibilities. • Knowledge in acquiring new techniques and equipment’s used in cooking • A wide variety of knowledge any type of cuisine • Extensive knowledge in preparing and serving well-presented and attractive meals to individual requirements. • Knowledge of safety rules and procedures in the kitchen.
Personal Qualities/Skills Required:
• Able to understand, speak, read and write English language with a reasonable standard of fluency and able to follow instructions. • Possess a positive attitude and commitment to providing nutritious meals and offer a range of choices including to those with specific dietary requirements. • Ability to work on own initiative. • Be able to work at flexible hours including week-ends, holidays and different shifts and longer hours as deemed necessary. • Able to work in a high pace and hot environment.
