Job Summary of Commercial Director
This is an exciting opportunity to drive the international business of our client forward with a key leadership role, working alongside the company clients to drive a world-class Commercial strategy. The successful candidate will support the company’s client to manage the financial and operational performance of all their Commercial concession contracts.
This role is a two-year assignment based full-time in Saudi Arabia offering the successful candidate a chance to explore a new and diverse culture in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities of Commercial Director
Drive and implement a world class strategy, vision and structure for a newly formed Concessions department.
Establish and lead best practice tender processes for any new Concession Contracts.
Review existing Concession Contracts and ensure a consistent minimal annual guarantee model, where this is not in place, lead the renegotiation with current Business Partners.
Create a Customer Relationship Management structure and reporting tool, including SLAs and business strategy plans for all stakeholders
Establish and embed robust data collection and analysis from all Concessionaires, with a view to automating this process over time.
Implement best practice Commercial processes, procedures and systems across the business.
Complete benchmark exercises with similar airports to optimize commercial opportunities.
Position concessions for growth, identifying strategic opportunities for the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience of Commercial Director
Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a commercial environment in airports
Proven experience of securing and managing commercial concessions
Experience in Middle East desirable
Advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts
