Curriculum Specialist-English | UAE

Chase Resourcing are currently recruiting an English Curriculum Specialist for our client in the UAE

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and creation of curriculum design, development and review
• Proof and review teaching books and curriculum associated products
• Ensure internal and external validation of all curriculum products and delivery as required
• Coordinate with Ministry quality assurance and assessment procedures
• Ensure any organizational requirements and standards are met
• Liaise with internal departments and external organisations as required
• Promote innovation and creative teaching and learning strategies
• Attend and deliver training as required to ensure implementation of the curriculum
• Send out academic instruction to a team of English Teachers
• Carry out monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the curriculum
• Respond to data relating to student performance
• Create and support provision of relevant additional learning support
• Provide an example of academic and professional excellence
• Manage workload & staff (where required) to deliver to agreed targets
• Maintain and provide accurate and timely information in relation to curriculum design and implementation
• Leadership of teaching, learning and assessment strategies
• Take appropriate responsibility for learner safeguarding and the promotion of equality and diversity
• Ensure effective communication across teams and departments
• Develop extra-curricular activities to engage students in English
• Attend meetings as required
• Utilize your strong planning and organizational skills

Requirements for the role of English Curriculum Specialist

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience teaching English or equivalent subjects
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on curriculum development and/or assessment
• Experience of implementing a range of 21st century teaching and learning strategies
• Experience and excellent understanding of the creation and implementation of English curricula and a desire to enhance and improve the education system
• Master’s Degree in English or equivalent
• PGCE in English / Equivalent certificate

OR

• Ed with focus on English
• Teaching qualification (e.g. DTLLS, PGCE, Cert. Ed) or equivalent
• IELTS 7 Academic for non-native English speakers
