Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce we are recruiting for a Domestic Services candidate for our client based in Kerry.

The role of Domestic Services will include responsibilities in the following areas: housekeeping, laundry and dining and other areas as required by the Operations Manager. The candidate must embrace the general philosophy & ethos of our Care Facility in a caring, kind and respectful manner.

Flexibility, effective communication skills and attention to detail for Policy compliance is essential

Duties and Responsibilities of Domestic Services :

Housekeeping

• To be responsible for the upkeep of general housekeeping and specific tasks
• Ensure all areas are kept clean, hygiene and free from waste
• Maintain safe clean storage of housekeeping items and stock
• Maintain integrity of all aspects of housekeeping at all times

Laundry

• To be responsible for the laundry management of all residents clothing
• To facilitate the laundry management of all other laundry , linen and bedding materials
• Ensure that all resident clothing is stored as per protocol and its integrity is maintained
• Maintain safe clean storage of all laundry
• Upkeep good linen and bedding stock at all times

Dining

• To be responsible alongside the chef for a positive dining experience for all stakeholders
• Maintain a safe, clean and homely dining room and experience at all times
• Facilitate beverage rounds as per criteria
• Assist chef in duties as required
• Work according to HACCP Safe Catering guidelines

Requirements needed for role of Domestic Services 

The ideal candidate will have / possess:

• Friendly and approachable manner
• Work in a safety aware manner
• Practical and lateral thinking with the ability to prioritize on the day
• Good Communication skills
• Be proactive in suggesting ideas on how work can be improved
• Track record in hospitality, health care, similar work environment
• Basic Knowledge of quality management systems very beneficial
• Be mindful of the residents of the care facility and all other stakeholders
