Chase Resourcing are recruiting a Expressive Arts Psychotherapy for our client a ground breaking new sanctuary for wellness and treatment in Doha,Qatar.

Expressive Arts Psychotherapy will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a high standard of clinical care, which encompasses expressive arts psychotherapy assessment, treatment and management of Patients experiencing substance-related and addictive disorders and co-morbid conditions.

Key Accountabilities of Expressive Arts Psychotherapy

Clinical Duties

• Provide high quality expert expressive arts psychotherapy including the; planning, designing and facilitation of rehabilitation program.
• Provide age and developmentally appropriate arts psychotherapy group interventions that help to build or rebuild positive coping skills and provide emotional support. Establishing appropriate S.M.A.R.T. treatment goals.
• Provide individual, group, couple and family art psychotherapy
• Flexibly manage a varied caseload of both residential and ambulatory care Patients with complex needs, using evidence based person centered principles.
• Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment for procurement.

Educational Duties

• Participate in and lead Expressive Arts Psychotherapy in-service development.
• Participate in service improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the teaching of other multi-disciplinary team members, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others to promote understanding of expressive arts psychotherapy to enhance Patient’s recovery.

Generic Accountabilities

• Assist in the setup, organization and operation of clinical services.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Job Requirements of Expressive Arts Psychotherapy

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant behavioural health field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy or dance therapy).
• Licensed as an expressive arts therapist in home country,
  o Recreational Therapist- Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS)
  o Music Therapist- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC).
• Art Therapist-Registered Art Therapist (ATR)
• Dance Movement Therapist- Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist (BC- DMT).
• Up-to-date CPD in relevant expressive arts therapy areas
• Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant subject area
• A Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama or Dance Movement Therapy
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in expressive arts therapy
• Multidisciplinary experience in a range of clinical fields to include mental health, or medical
• Previous experience in specialist area of mental health
• Advanced inpatient and outpatient clinical skills
