Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce we are recruiting for a Financial Accountant for our client in Luxembourg.
The Financial Accountant is responsible for implementing Company financial policies, systems and procedures. The Financial Accountant is responsible for preparing the financial accounts for the local entity and ensuring the financial integrity of the statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Preparation of Monthly reports.
Managing the monthly / quarterly accounting closing process.
Preparation and review of monthly / quarterly reporting of management information.
Preparation of Management Accounts.
Bank Reconciliations
Balance sheet management – ensuring monthly balance sheet is supported by detailed account reconciliations, analysis, and explanations.
Creditor Payments in line with cash flow.
Expenses – overall responsibility for accounting and reporting of expenses on a monthly basis. To include management of the Company’s procurement policy and reporting of actual compared to budget by cost Centre on a monthly basis.
Statutory Returns.
Management of external audit in line with direction from Group.
Ownership and responsibility for all financial activities locally.
Provide technical accounting support, guidance & training to members of the local team to ensure financial compliance and understanding with company accounting policies.
External Audit and preparation of audit file.
Maintaining the general ledger with adherence to proper governance over journals, chart of accounts and posting processes.
Tax compliance – ensure all tax returns are met on a timely basis.
Maintaining finance operating procedures
Maintaining systems / controls to ensure adequate backup documentation / audit trail.
Support of the Group function in implementing an internal control framework to match best practices within the industry.
Implementation of local Standards and IFRS
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant work experience, preferably in the construction/engineering industry
knowledge of relevant standards to the construction industry
Excellent computer skills
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in general accounting and control/reconciliation tasks with a strong control mentality.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Strong team player with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
Commitment to quality: driven to achieve excellent standards of work and accuracy by self and by the team.
Be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and to develop and manage projects.
