Medical Imaging Consultant – Saudi Arabia Full Time

Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce that we are seeking a Medical Imaging Consultant for a client of ours in Saudi Arabia 

The Medical Imaging Consultant will be responsible for preforming procedural and constructive duties as assigned by the Department Chairman.

Principle Duties for the Medical Imaging Consultant include:

• Actively participate in QI activities
• Provides input to the department head and Chairman of Medical Imaging
• Serves on Committees as appointed by the Chairman of Medical Imaging or the Hospital Director
• Reports any violations of the rules and regulations of the department to the chairman
• Serves on committees as appointed by the Chairman of the Medical Imaging Department

In addition to the consultant duties shall be accountable to the Chairman of Medical Imaging for fulfilling his/her responsibilities 

• Ensures that he/she maintains high medical ethical standards in the practice of radiology
• Performs Administrative tasks set by the Chairman of Medical Imaging
• Ensures that practises meet standards set by JCIA
• Participates in education and in formal education programmes of the Hospital
• Engages in clinical reviews, clinical research and other scholarly pursuits
• Participates in Medical Imaging practises as determined by the Chairman of Medical Imaging
• Reporting of x rays for inclusion in patient records
• Conferring with other departments on the interpretation of radiological findings and assisting in determining the nature and extent of necessary treatment
• Carry out on call as required by the department
• Share emergency calls with other radiologist
• Invest in training residents, audit their work, and encourage them to produce research work and publication but also to educate the public
• Performs diagnostic or therapeutic interventions for which specific privileges have been granted based on experience and skills
• Ensure that practises meet standards set by JCIA
• Participate in education and in formal education programmes of the Hospital.

Essential Requirements for the Medical Imaging Consultant position:

• A basic medical degree recognised by the Saudi Medical Council and postgraduate /board certificate or board eligible in radiology/nuclear medicine
• At least 5 years’ experience after being certified by a specific board
• Essential English and Arabic
• Intermediate level computer skills
