Neonatology Consultant

Neonatology Consultant required by Chase Resourcing Consultant to work for a top Hospital Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Expats make up a large portion of the employees and we welcome them from all corners of the world for 12-24 month contracts.

You will be provided with Housing, Flights, Travel allowance and all utility bills will be paid.  While you are here you can undertake further education programmes and practice what you do without any budgetary constraints.

Consultant packages come with a Family package which entitles you for flights, education, housing and Medical for a spouse and up to 3 children.

DUTIES OF THE NEONATOLOGY CONSULTANT

  • Provide high standard and quality patient care.
  • To provide inpatient care for patients admitted to the hospital under the Division of Neonatology either as MRP or as the covering physician during rest hours, weekends, holidays or vacations of the patient’s MRP and to be responsible when on-call, accepting the inconveniences associated with the patient’s needs.
  • To provide care to the Neonatology patients in the ambulatory care facility.  The duration and frequency of this service is dictated by the needs and the regulations of the organisation, the Department of Pediatrics, and the Division of Neonatology.
  • To determine the final disposition and plan of care of his/her patients, in addition to coordinating the referral to other services if needed.
  • To provide consultation services to other divisions within the Department and other departments within the organisation during the regular working hours and on-call hours.
  • To perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions and procedures for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his/her training, qualifications, experience and skills.
  • To participate in on-call coverage in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Division of Neonatology and the Department of Pediatrics.
  • Participate in the Quality improvement and reviews conducted by the Department of Pediatrics.
  • To provide close supervision of the clinical performance of subordinates and to act as a role model.
  • To participate in Scientific research and contribute to the Department’s educational activities and postgraduate training programmes.
  • To regularly participate in educational activities in order to acquire new skills and knowledge and to support career advancements.
  • Understand and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to medical practice.
  • Perform other related duties as appropriate and as assigned.
  • Undertake continuing medical education activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Saudi Board of Pediatrics or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a structured, accredited 2-3 years Neonatology Fellowship programme.
  • Training and post training experience should be more than 7 years.
  • Training and re certification in basic life support (BLS) and neonatal resuscitation programme (NRP) every 2 years.
