Nurse Specialist – Education Full Time

Nurse Specialist required by Chase Resourcing for a top Hospital Group in Saudi Arabia.

You will be working in the Nursing Administration Departments.

Our Client is one of the top Hospital Groups with centres all around Saudi Arabia.  Expats make up a large portion of the employees and we welcome them from all corners of the world for 12-24 month contracts.

You will be provided with Housing, Flights, Travel allowance and all utility bills will be paid.  While you are here you can undertake further education programmes and practice what you do without any budgetary constraints.

The Nurse Specialist will in collaboration with medical and other healthcare team members, demonstrate advanced nursing knowledge to the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and design of nursing care and interventions for a specific patient population or service specialty.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

CLINICAL PRACTICE

• Demonstrate advanced nursing knowledge and clinical competence in the area of assignment.
• Act in collaboration with the medical staff, to promote advanced nursing care, including nurse led clinics.
• Facilitate competence in nursing practice in area of practice.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, their families and all members of the healthcare team.
• Function as a patient advocate.
• Facilitate competence in nursing practice.
• Act as a Consultant and resource person for current evidence-based nursing practice information.

ADMINISTRATION

• Maintain documentation and record keeping that verifies educational activities according to Department guidelines.
• Maintains correct lines of authority and communication according to the organisational chart.
• Utilizes material resources and facilities effectively.
• Maintain confidentially of all records and results.
• Complete monthly reports as required

EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

• Participate in research activities and ensures dissemination of relevant research and best practice guidelines.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring of Nursing, Medical and Paramedical students, Interns and residents.
• Provides evidence-based adult education for nursing services staff, nursing students, Interns and Residents.

QUALITY

• Participates in the evaluation of systems and programmes to maximise productivity, cost effectiveness via continuous improvement quality programme.
• Makes recommendations for changes based on evidence practice and best practice guidelines.
• Undertakes clinical audit and contributes to the development of knowledge and practice.
• Complies with and participates in Quality Improvement processes and activities.
• Complies with Hospital infection control and safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NURSE EDUCATOR

• Registered Nurse with current nursing license in home country.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or area of specialty
• Five (5) years clinical nursing experience , including two (2) years current clinical teaching experience.
• Post graduate certificate in area of specialty
• Experience in teaching or counselling an advantage.
