Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce we are recruiting an Operations Specialist for our client in Kerry.
Primary Task assigned to the Operations Specialist is to identify a problem, create a ticket in the tracking system and assign the ticket to an appropriate support group.
**Experience is an advantage but not a necessity. **
The role would involve shift work and some weekend work.
Duties of the Operations Specialist
Monitoring production environment includes the network infrastructure and application availability. When any primary component is compromised, the Team will be notified via one of the monitoring tools. It is then required to create a corresponding heat ticket and escalate it using pre-defined procedures. Tools used: Tivoli, Corporate schedulers.
Data needs to be compiled and processed. The monitoring of these batch processes are submitted through three primary schedulers. These schedulers are TWS (now DWC) / JP1 and Tidal. There are internal schedulers for some of the other critical payment applications such as Montran / Swift Alliance and Loan IQ.
Participate in the support of the non production environment. This is done by following instructions using a proprietary tool called the Service Request System. This involves following instructions and stop or start applications throughout the day.
A good aptitude and attitude is essential.
Tools Operations Specialist will use:
Different client / server operating systems.
Unix / Linux server framework and a distributed system windows framework
Cisco switches and EMC SAN storage.
SCOM is used by windows to source events to the Tivoli monitoring tool.
