MAIN OBJECTIVES A M&E Contractor have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical and Instrumentation Estimating Manager to join their expanding business. Our clients are a well-established business who work in a wide range of sectors including Commercial, Health, Pharmaceutical Oil and Gas, and Industrial across Ireland, UK, Europe, Middle east and America. They operate as a complete services contractor undertaking projects
As the Electrical and Instrumentation Manager you will work with an established estimating team in preparing estimates so previous experience is essential. The Electrical and Instrumentation Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities: · Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard · Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from electrical specialists · Liaising with other members of the estimating team and Contracts Managers · Carry out estimates using electronic packages · Develop working relationships with design consultants, main contractors and clients to establish communication paths.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: · Experience within in similar position as Electrical and Instrumentation Manager · Electrical/ Instrumentation qualifications · Strong negotiation skills · Confident communicator · Proficient in material take off · Knowledge of Estimation software · Confident in Mid Tender and Post Tender Interviews in front of the client team · Liaising with the sub contract supply chain to ascertain and achieve compliancy · Happy to work on their own running two to three inquiries at a time simultaneously · Proficient in all Microsoft Office software.
