Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce the position of Radio/Radar and Communication Engineering Lecturers with our client in Oman.
Our client is seeking to appoint an aspired professional to be able to deliver teaching at the University level in the fields of ‘Analogue and Digital Electronics’ , ‘Analogue and Digital Communications’, ‘Electronic Circuit Simulation and Measurements’, ’Electromagnetics’, ‘Antenna and EM Waves’, ‘Radar’, ‘Satellite Communications’ , ‘Digital Signal Processing’ and ‘Naval Electrical and Electronic Systems’. Related practical experience, students’ project supervision and mentoring experience would be preferred. The candidate must have a basic engineering degree related to the field.
Key Responsibilities of the Radio/Radar and Communication Engineering Lecturers include:
To contribute to the curriculum/course development as a senior member of staff within the Department as appropriate.
To deliver inspirational teaching and where appropriate adopt research-informed teaching.
To design and be responsible for the contents of specific areas of teaching and learning.
To undertake academic duties to deliver high quality teaching, student learning support and assessment duties.
To support and comply with the College quality assurance standards and procedures.
Duties of the Radio/Radar and Communication Engineering Lecturers include:
To support the leadership and management of the department and developing new curriculum.
To undertake such specific roles/committee work as may be reasonably required.
To participate in relevant professional/advisory activities.
To carry out research and produce publications, or other research outputs, in line with personal objectives agreed in the Staff review process.
To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate or taught graduate (Masters) students.
To engage in continuous professional development.
To undertake external activities, which reflect and enhance the reputation of the College.
To comply with the College Health and Safety Policy.
To undertake any other duties as required by the Head of Department.
Requirements of Radio/Radar and Communication Engineering Lecturers
Must have at least a minimum of two years in the field of higher education preferably with experience in the field of evaluation or have a minimum of a master’s degree and experience of not less than 5 years in the field of higher education preferably with experience in the field of evaluation area .
Preferably, have a membership of a professional organization (CEng / IEng).
