Senior Middle School Math Teachers | Saudi Arabia

Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting Qualified Senior Middle School Teachers for a major client of ours based in Saudi Arabia.

The core purpose of this role is to supervise the day-to-day activities of a team of teachers.  The post holder will ensure that the teaching of the team conforms with the overall teaching and learning strategy of the School and produces the required results.  The Senior Teacher is also be responsible for the assessment of quality and learning and quality improvement measures.

Responsibilities of Senior Middle School teachers;

• Line manage the day-to-day activities of a team of teachers, including implementation of the Schools Performance Management processes.
• Coordinate activities with the Head of School and take part in School management activities.
• Ensure that teacher hours are used effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure the locally delivered curriculum conforms to the standards and expectations of the School.
• Liaise with the PYP/PMP Coordinator to ensure conformity with required standards and processes.
• Undertake formal and informal observation of teaching and learning, provide timely feedback and agree action plans for improvement.
• Report on the quality of teaching and learning to the Head of School and contribute to School quality improvement reports and action plans.
• Provide mentorship for teachers as required.
• Provide ongoing developmental support for teachers, including modelling of best practice.
• Coordinate learner data, including attendance information and assessment results.
• Provide first instance pastoral care for students and liaise with Coordinator for Pastoral and Wellbeing for ongoing planning and support.
• Plan and deliver the curriculum in line with the Schools’ pedagogy.
• Plan and organise resources and teaching material which will enable the delivery of the planned curriculum and enable pupils to realise their full potential.
• Prepare and adapt teaching materials, work within the teaching and learning methodology of the School and make use of special facilities and/or equipment/technology.
• Assess and report upon work completed by pupils in line with the Schools’ assessment policies.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, pupils and external agencies.
• Encourage and develop positive attitudes in all pupils and devise strategies to promote pupil well-being as well as equality and diversity.
• Maintain constantly high expectations of pupil behaviour, in line with Schools’ Policy, providing pupils with a secure, safe and structured learning environment.
• Participate in further training and professional development opportunities provided by the School.
• Participate in the extra-curricular activities of the School.
• Participate in parent consultations, Curriculum Reviews and Annual Reviews, as required.
• Conduct the daily activity with reference to the Schools’ Policy.
• Embed the Schools’ culture and ethics in all activities.
• Collaborate with The Head of School to establish and achieve personal performance objectives.
• Work as a team member with colleagues across the organisation.
• Maintain the customer as the focus of all activities.
• Work flexibly according to the needs of the organisation.
• Innovate systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Undertake additional duties as and when required by The Head of School.

Essential Qualifications and Experience of Senior Middle School Teachers:

• Good honours degree
• Teaching Certificate, with specialization in Primary Education
• Qualified Teacher Status in home country
• Evidence of good organisational skills and ability to create and maintain stimulating, attractive and interactive learning environments.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience teaching in a school rated at ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by an external regulatory body e.g. OFSTED or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing in a Primary/Secondary school.
• Experience of quality management processes in education
• Experience of the personalisation of learning and curriculum innovation

• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English (to a native speaker or near native speaker standard)
• Ability to work sensitively with people from other cultures
• Ability to maintain good relationships within the school community

• Ability to assimilate new ideas and procedures into known practice and model this to colleagues

• Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite and MIS
