Physics Teachers are to comprehend and implement the Physics Curriculum, using skills based learning in student-centered classroom environment.

Responsibilities of Physics Teachers

• Exercise leadership by taking personal responsibility
• Responsible for the successful class delivery, of the Physics program.
• Continuous improvement of the teaching and learning materials and the provision of support to students.
• Monitoring and assessing the progress of all learners
• Use a range of strategies to promote positive relationships, cooperation, and purposeful learning in the classroom
• Use a range of teaching and learning strategies to engage learners in active learning opportunities
• Promote the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance capabilities and that help learners assume responsibility for identifying and using learning resources
• Keep the needs of learners at the center of all professional planning and decision-making
• Pursue further training and professional development as a teacher
• Prepare learners for qualifications and external examinations
• Actively participate in and support whole-school training events
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the institute
• Uphold the Institute’s code of conduct and all school policies

Requirements of Physics Teachers 

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Physics
• A teaching Qualification; Teaching Certificate / Diploma from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ of High School teaching experience
• Native English speakers.
• ILETS 7 or higher for Non-Native English speakers with experience in a Native English speaking country.
